The Anti-Ballistic Missile Treaty banned the development of systems designed to intercept incoming missiles, so that neither side would be tempted to attack the other without fearing devastating retaliation. Nixon and Brezhnev proclaimed a new era of "peaceful coexistence," in which "detente" (cooperation) would replace the hostility of the Cold War.

I hated it when I first started boarding. but then I bought a long leash that velcros around the knee and I don't mind so much anymore. getting that little clip off mt boot lace drove me nuts. I just think that if I decide to stop and hike back up to hit a jump again I won't have to chase my board if it slips out of my hand.
